First you must have the base environment for Allodia Site Engine. We
have thoroughly tested Allodia Site Engine on: Linux, Free BSD, Mac OS
X and Windows NT/2000/XP. Linux or one of the BSD's are recommended,
but anything else that can run the 3 pieces of software listed below
should do it.

Amaya

Amaya is a Web editor, i.e. a tool used to create and update documents
directly on the Web. Browsing features are seamlessly integrated with the
editing and remote access features in a uniform environment. This follows the
original vision of the Web as a space for collaboration and not just a
one-way publishing medium.
Work on Amaya started at W3C in 1996 to showcase Web technologies in a
fully-featured Web client. The main motivation for developing Amaya was to
provide a framework that can integrate as many W3C technologies as possible.
It is used to demonstrate these technologies in action while taking advantage
of their combination in a single, consistent environment.
Amaya started as an HTML + CSS style sheets editor. Since that time it was
extended to support XML and an increasing number of XML applications such as
the XHTML family, MathML, and SVG. It allows all those vocabularies to be
edited simultaneously in compound documents.
Note: The current release is available for Linux, Windows (2000/Vista/XP) and now MacOS X PowerPC and Intel (see screenshot). It supports HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0, XHTML Basic, XHTML 1.1, HTTP 1.1, MathML 2.0, many CSS 2 features, and includes SVG support (transformation, transparency, and SMIL animation). You can display and partially edit XML documents. It's an internationalized application.

Amazing Portal Generator

RTG's Amazing Portal Generator (the APG for short) lets you design your own Web portal. Choose links from a list we provide or add your own. Choose buttons from a list of pre-coded buttons which you can customize. Buttons can do a Web search, get a stock quote, or retrieve a local weather forecast. You can customize your portal with your choice of colors and fonts.
When your design is complete, the APG writes your Web portal to a disk file. If you double-click this file, your Web browser starts up and displays the portal.
You don't need to know HTML, the language of the Web, to create a Web portal with the APG. Your design specifications are translated by the APG into the appropriate HTML commands.
