CookieTimer
CookieTimer is the Cadillac of cooking timers. The program is a small set of .exe files and borrowed .wav files. The timer has many features including options to show the time-remaining readout full-screen for viewing from afar, choice of alarm sounds, volume control, alarm repeat adjustment, window and readout color choice, and system tray utilization.
The timer keeps track, counting backwards one second at a time, showing the time remaining. The window controls come with simple tooltips so a help file is not much needed.
Just punch in a series of digits (colons supplied), or paste a time (colons required) into the readout field, and press the Start button. You can rig for silent alarm, a recurring alarm sound, or just once play the .wav file. At alarm time, a custom Reminder message you can write, appears at the top of the window. There is a convenient button at the bottom of the window for easily testing the sound of each .wav file one after the other.
