I hope you'll agree that this is the smallest, fastest, and most useful free Win32 internet time synchronizing program to date. And, of course, all the source code is available for free.
It synchronizes you computer's built in clock with the clocks of one or more free time servers on the internet. These time servers are all kept accurate to within 1 second of coordinated universal time, as maintained by an atomic clock.

Have you ever noticed that your computer's clock isn't very accurate? A_AtomicTimeSync is a professional Time Synchronization Utility to synchronize your PC via the internet. This can be done manually or automatically. It queries one of the National Institute of Standards and Technology timeservers, which then returns the correct standard time. It works through firewalls and proxy servers and supports 12(AM/PM) and 24 hour time format incl. all time zones and daylight savings correction. The standard time is converted to local time and compared with the internal system time on the computer, and adjustments are made accordingly. Optional time check automatically after Windows / program start and the Internet connection is available. Beside that you can define an individual time offset- which is a nice feature for travelling notbook users. On top of all the program talks to you.

With this tiny program, just keep an eye on the time. But to do this, you don't need to have a special window always on top or maintain the explorer's task bar visible. In fact, the current time is displayed in the active title bar of the active window. This software is very easy to use. To always have the time under your eyes, just put the executable file (or a link to it) in the statup menu.
