7-max is a program for accelerating your Windows system.
It increases the performance of some applications up to 10-20%.
WARNING: 7-max can be unstable for some systems and it can hang your Windows. So it's better to close other programs before first start of 7-max. If you have important data on your hard disk, it's better to backup them to some medium. And read FAQ for more information about possible troubles. If you are not ready to take risks, just don't install 7-max and don't use it.

7-max is a program for accelerating your Windows system.

7-max is a free software distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License.
WARNING: 7-max can be unstable for some systems and it can hang your Windows. So it's better to close other programs before first start of 7-max. If you have important data on your hard disk, it's better to backup them to some medium. And read FAQ for more information about possible troubles. If you are not ready to take risks, just don't install 7-max and don't use it.
Windows uses small (4 KB) RAM page by default. If you run any application with 7-max, that application will use large (2/4 MB) RAM pages. Large RAM pages provide increasing of speed.
7-max can speed up applications that use big amount of memory. In our tests, 7-max gives 10%-20% speed improvements on modern file compression programs like 7-Zip (www.7-zip.org). The biggest improvement can be obtained in CPUs with small L2 Cache: Celeron, Sempron.

This freeware software allows you to list all the opened windows (applications) on your Windows machine and to kill some of them by specifing their title.
Unlike other killing utilities it works also with hidden and system windows (for example trayed applications) and you can specify only a PART of the window caption.
For example, If you've opened three Windows named Notepad - first.txt, Notepad - second.txt and Notepad - third.txt, you can close all three in once by specifying only Notepad (or only one of them by specifying second.txt)
You can also export a list of all the opened windows into a text file, so that an external application can know in advance if a specific application is on execution, so it can decide whether to kill it or not (and which is the exact title to specify).
This is possible because @KILL can work also as a command line utility, by passing it some parameters, as described on the next chapter, so it can be invoked by external applications and batch files.
@KILL closes the windows by sending them a WM_CLOSE message, which should be managed by any any well behaved Windows application. Please note however that an application can prompt the user for confirmation prior to destroying a window, so there's no garantee that an application can be really closed by @KILL. You should test it for a specific application before using it in a production environment.
Note: Registration is NOT required to use this software. You can use it for free as long as you want, either for private purposes or in commercial organizations.

A Really Small App

A fun and free Really Small Little Program which enables you to copy your running Tasks and current Startups to the clipboard, and which displays CPU and Memory utilization graphs updated in real-time.
A Really Small App also tells you if remote computers are connected to your PC. If you are part of a network and you share printers and files on your PC, then that figure may justifiably be higher than zero. Same story if other computers have been configured to connect to your PC via PCAnywhere, WinVNC, Remote Desktop, or similar. In most other cases, however, a figure higher than zero is something you need to be worried about as it is highly likely to indicate the presence of Trojan viruses, spyware, or adware. If that happens then you should consider using The Ultimate Troubleshooter to hunt them down.
Can be minimized to the System Tray where it also enables you to change your default printer directly from the System Tray. Finally, hovering the mouse over the System Tray icon for the app gives you an abbreviated summary of the stats it is tracking for you.
