Ashampoo Magical UnInstall
|
|
Ashampoo Magical UnInstall completely monitors each new installation. This is ensured by the system remembering each single change to the system. But that’s not all to it: Installations can be completely undone, if requested. This means: If you leave uninstallation of software to Ashampoo Magical UnInstall, the system will look afterwards the same as before installation, i.e. no single unused file will remain on the system.
Ashampoo Magical UnInstall offers a modern and easy-to-use surface. Once installed and configurated, the tool works from the Windows system tray. An internal help feature explains each single function of the tool.
Note: This 10-day test version will be changed to a permanently accessible full version after free registration.
OS: Windows 2000, XP.

Ashampoo StartUp Tuner 2
|
Display programs that are started automatically and edit the entries that launch them!
This new Ashampoo product displays programs that are started automatically with Windows® and allows you to edit the entries that launch them.
You can deactivate entries to prevent programs from being launched, reactivate them if you decide you need them or delete the entries entirely so that the programs cannot be activated again (this doesn't delete the programs themselves).
You can also edit the command lines with which the entries are started and add new entries.
StartUp Tuner finds and displays the entries from all of Windows' auto-launch locations, including the Startup folder in the Windows Start menu, the WIN.INI file and the registry sections for both the current user and all users.
Both activated and deactivated entries are displayed, giving you full control over your startup configuration.
Note: The Ashampoo StartUp Tuner can be used free of charge for 10 days. Subsequent to this time, a free online registration is then required in order to receive an activation code which will convert the test version of the program into a full version which can be used over the long term.

ASPI Driver FIX for Windows 2000 and XP
|
Since there was some problems getting the ASPI drivers to work with AudioCatalyst, Audiograbber and other programs that needed the ASPI support, I've put up this site to help people getting it right.
ASPI is used to read raw data from CD-ROMS and CD-Burners. Example for programs that need this support is eg: Audiocatalyst, Audiograbber and Nero.
Follow these steps to install the ASPI drivers:
- Download the ASPI driver for your system: Windows2000 or WindowsXP
- Download the orginal old ASPI drivers. It will install the rest of the files needed.
- Restart your computer. (Do not skip this STEP!)
- If you have done it right, your ASPI problems should be fixed. To check them use this util

Assimilator
|
|
Assimilation is the result of assimilating something which is dissimilated. In other words, assimilation is the result of making two dissimilar things similar. Assimilation can be based on a baseline. A baseline is a standard or protocol which is in place for the sake of governing events. In the case of Assimilator v1.0.0, our baseline is a replication of the good processes which run locally on our computers. Assimilator is not a substitute for a firewall but, coupled with a firewall, Assimilator instantly becomes one more layer between you and disaster.
Requirements: Windows XP

AssKickr
|
|
Having read that some people have associated their .exe files with numerous programs, I decided to create AssKickr. AssKickr is very small, and it should be, because the only thing it does is launch .exe files. It is also distributed unzipped, so that it will run immedately. So, if you ever associate .exe files with a program, don't panic. You don't have to format your hard drive, you just need AssKickr to help you launch RegEdit and get rid of the association (hence Ass Kickr). Just replace the program that lauches every time you start an .exe file (the one you associated .exe files with) with AssKickr (this can even be done in DOS). AssKickr will then launch any file in its command line, effectively restoring Windows functionality back to normal. Don't forget to delete the association afterwards!
