Autorun Eater
Autorun Eater was born due to increase of malwares using the ‘autorun.inf’ tactic to infect users unknowingly be it from flash drives, removable hard disks or any other removable storage device. When an infected device is infected with a malware and an ‘autorun.inf’ file is dropped, the shell menu is normally modified to execute the malware whenever the unsuspecting user double-clicks the infected drive.
Most anti-malware apps out there will almost instantly remove any malware detected but more often than not they leave the ‘autorun.inf’ file behind. And what if the anti-malware app fails to catch the malware? Here is when Autorun Eater comes in handy. Autorun Eater will remove any suspicious ‘autorun.inf’ files even before the user attempts to access the drive. This files are auto-backup’ed in case of false positives.
OS: Windows 98, NT, ME, 2000, XP.

Autorun3
Autorun3 is a tool of a new generation: it's an integrated scanner discovering potentially dangerous applications (like spyware and such) and a manager of programs that run with the start of the system. Autorun will allow you to remove useless and harmful programs from your computer. It is a tool created especially to fight spyware but it is also useful for cleaning the system from all the other useless applications. However, you have to remember this program is not an anti-virus so to be completely safe you still need to install onto your computer an anti-virus program (despite the fact that this application also contains features normaly found in antivirus solutions, like blocking bad programs and simple heuristics) and a firewall. Autorun3 should serve more as a helper than as a guard.
System: WindowsXP (or Windows2000). It won't run on any other system, including WinNT 4.0.

AV Defs Updater for F-PROT for DOS
Do you use F-PROT for DOS or plan to use it in an emergency situation? If yes, you may be interested in the following free Windows utility (compatible with all 32-bit Windows versions, including the first version of Windows 95) that updates your F-PROT for DOS antivirus definitions in the background and enables the automated creation of a set of emergency diskettes allowing you to perform a clean boot and check for viruses. Your existing settings in F-PROT for DOS are transferred to the diskette copy. A quick procedure only for updating of the diskettes holding the antivirus definitions, or only the creation of a universal, general-purpose bootable DOS disk (thanks to the excellent FreeDOS Project, http://www.freedos.org) is provided. The DOS bootdisk can be created on ANY version of Windows. Online help (context-sensitive) is included.
