Add-in Express Toys VSTO is a free sample add-in that extends Microsoft Excel with some useful features. This addin is based on Add-in Express 2008 for VSTO and gives you an example of developing Excel add-ins, creating custom toolbars and controls, and accessing Excel objects. Add-in Express Toys VSTO supports Microsoft Excel 2003 and Excel 2007.
Here are just a few examples of what you can do with Add-in Express 2008 for VSTO:

AddReg

AddReg is a small utility you include with your setup program. When included, AddReg will automatically load your add-in in Excel as a part of the installation process. And when your users uninstall your add-in, AddReg will unload the add-in from Excel as well. All this is done without your users going through the motion of manual loading and unloading of your add-in.
AddReg works for Excel95 onwards (including Excel 2000) and in Windows95 onwards. Unfortunately, AddReg does not work in Windows NT.

NOTE: The software can run as Freeware, which is free accounts software! Freeware initially provides you with a fully functional free accounts system. After a certain period of time (usually 45 days from the date of installation) the functionality reduces, basically it will lose the stock control, purchase order processing, a small number of options in the ledgers will become unavailable, and it will be limited to single currency and single user. The options that will become unavailable will be in Italics, so you can identify them. We have found (to our cost!) that 90% of small businesses find the Freeware version with it's reduced functionality meets their needs.
