Based on England Wei's Euro Currency Converter.
Shows all major Asian currencies and will update exchange rates accordingly. You can convert a foreign currency into US Dollars by clicking in the lower left edit field and entering an amount, then pressing Enter to have the value converted. Change the conversion currency by clicking on a flag. Set the background and default conversion currency in the preferences.
Now known as "World Currency".
Added ability to have 2 base currencies that can be switched with a button at the top.

Assam-Calcu is a 12-digit multi-purpose calculator that can store and recall millions of your old calculations - whether ordinary or scientific. It may also be easily programmed to run hundreds of calculation-steps in one go. It is designed to be equally convenient for purposes as varied as the simplest grocery arithmetic as well as the most advanced technological computations.
The basic operation in Assam-Calcu is execution of a simple command-line (say, 'Answer = 673+245'), of which the left side is a variable (say, 'Answer'), and on the right side of which lies an expression (say '55*4' or 'Mass*(3.0E8)**2'). If the right side uses one or more variable(s), e.g., 'Mass', their values must have been defined in earlier steps. Compared to most calculator-instruments, Assam-Calcu offers the much wider range of 9.9E+300 to 1.0E-300 for its results. In v2.4, more than a hundred constants & conversion-factors have been newly introduced, with provision for more user-definable ones as well.

A free download of a tiny applet which we use ourseles - every day. It may be amusingly simple to some - but we're baffled why Windows does not have this already built in.
The applet simply pops up a pane on the right hand side of your screen, and is essentially a tree structure. You can add new topics or simple text files (for making notes). In addition, via a right click pop-up menu you can access the appropriate topic's directory structure - and thus drop in additional files. Double clicking a document opens it.
In essence, it's simply a way of showing a file structure in a tree - and though this CAN be obtained with some effort through Windows (the old Windows 3.1 File Manager used this format) this is a much more pure and immediate way of working with a collection of notes spanning several projects.
We installed a shortcut to the application into the Windows Quick Launch toolbar - alongside the one-click buttons to IE and OE, etc.
If we want to add a note to a project, we simply click this - the pane pops up, we type out text note into the relevant document (which more often than not is a Notepad text file!) and then close it again. Because the program is only a few kb, it's all very immediate unlike some of the multi-mb organiser apps.
Over an office LAN of course you can share the projects folder and point each of the programs folder to the networked location by editing the INI file. Great for team work!

Scientific and graphic calculator with programming environment addressed
to people that don't want to make life more difficult than it should
be, allowing them to see the numbers they have entered and obtained
(and therefore review them) and visualize (and copy) the list of
results obtained. It allows you to hide unnecessary items, and use only
those strictly needed, occupying a small space on the screen. It has a
curious temporary calculator.
Students and professionals wanting a very potent and versatile
calculator, with programming (estructured, pascal style) and
possibility of representing equations and drawings, without having to
use a spreadsheet nor specific mathematical programs.

Atlantis Nova v1.0.0.69 (LFW)

Atlantis Nova is a word processor that has quite a bunch of useful features and has an extensive support for MS Word files. It reminds one of Word, surely - same toolbars that became a de-facto standard quite a while ago, almost the same working field with rulers etc. Of course, as the editor can only read DOC file formats and can save documents in rich or plain text files, it will never substitute MS Word. But in small features, ones that make your work with documents easy, Atlantis Nova surpasses its Microsoft prototype. There are plenty of toolbars so you don't have to choose items from the pull-down menu: you're always just a click away from making your text in subscript or, for example, capitalizing a text.
There's also a built-in calculator, a direct link to sending the current document by email and more.
The English version of Atlantis Nova (released on February 2001) is still on our server: But we do not advertise this old version through our site anymore.

Atlas

Atlas (625 kB) is a program for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP targeted at architects and construction engineers.
Atlas computes the resulting moments and reaction forces for a given beam with loads applied to it (single as well as distributed), using Cross' method.
The program has a very easy interface. It lets you enter your data with the mouse, and it shows the resulting moments and shear forces immediately in both a graphical and numerical way. Maximum bending moments can easily be calculated.
This version can only handle one-dimensional structures or beams. Two-dimensional structures may be implemented in future versions
