This is a freeware program that I wrote which converts graphic files (bmp, jpg, wmf or gif) into ASCII characters (ASCII art). It is fully customisable with options to change the font and it's characteristics, define usable characters, selectable character sets for different systems (DOS-friendly, UNIX-friendly and even language-friendly), user-defined target width (in characters), and black or white background choice. The software will learn each font automatically as you choose it so that it best matches the shades in the picture to the shades which the text characters produce.

After the tremendous success of AsciiMagic v1.0 and the encouraging response, AsciiMagic v1.1 is released. In addition to the features in v1.0, AsciiMagic v1.1 is capable of generating colour Ascii-Art in HTML. You can convert Bitmap, JPG and GIF images to simple Ascii-Art TEXT files and Ascii-Art HTML files (Colour). Open the text files and set the font to "Courier New" and your Ascii-Art is ready. HTML files can be opened with any web browser. The options are self-explanatory. There are tool tips provided for your help and guidance.

ASE (Allegro Sprite Editor) is a program specially designed with facilities to create animated sprites that can be used in some video game. This program let you create from static images, to characters with movement, textures, patterns, backgrounds, logos, color palettes, and any other thing that you think.
