ASCII art synthetizer written in L.in.oleum
ArtSCII takes a picture (saved in TGA format) and transforms it in a sequence of ASCII characters that approximates the picture. You can also draw in freehand, instead of using a picture, and then convert your drawings. You can superimpose drawings to an existing picture as well. Vectors forming the drawings can also be saved to files having .ART extension. Source code is included, along with more detailed instructions, but it uses the Linoleum iGUI user interface and it's pretty easy to use. It also supports skin import/export in IGS file format. Given its clean source code, it is also a valid example of an iGUI client application.
