AlterJig
Free games and jigsaw puzzles are fun for games lovers. AlterJig is one of them, it is a set of tile-based jigsaw games and puzzles. You select graphics supplied with the games or create your own puzzles from any bitmaps. When you select "new game", AlterJig scrambles the puzzles and challenges you to restore the pictures by rotating groups of four tiles to get the tiles back to their proper positions. Tile rotation is controlled by left and right mouse buttons. It sounds easier to solve than it is.

Anagram Master
Anagram Master quickly solves anagram puzzles using a large English dictionary. It is useful for solving anagram problems, scrabble, word yahtzee, word poker and a few other word games and puzzles.
You can input any length of anagram and select the size of words to search for. It uses a word list containing 80,000 words (includes plurals). It contains Bristish and American spellings for words. You can also replace the word list with your own; if for example you wanted to search for words without plurals, or even use a completely different language!
It is very simple to use, has a small file size, and there's no need to install: just unzip into any directory and run from there.

Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM)
Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM for short) is a roguelike game which means that it is a single-user game featuring the exploration of a dungeon complex (and in the case of ADOM a few other games of this genre: the exploration of a large wilderness area with villages and many special locations). You control a fictional character described by race, class, attributes, skills, and equipment. This fictional character is trying to achieve a specific goal (see below) and succeed in a difficult quest. To fulfill the quest, you have to explore previously undiscovered tunnels and dungeons, fight hideous monsters, uncover long forgotten secrets, and find treasures of all kind.

Angband
It's a freeware computer dungeon exploration game based (loosely) on the books of J.R.R.Tolkien. You explore a very deep dungeon, kill monsters, try to equip yourself with the best weapons and armor you can find, and finally face Morgoth - "The Dark Enemy".
Angband has a very long history. It started 1990 as an improved and "Tolkienized" variant of Moria. Moria itself was created in 1985 and was inspired by Rogue (from the late 70s). Countless changes were introduced by many programmers on the way to the current versions of Angband.
Note: Also available for Linux, Mac, OS/2, BeOS, DOS, etc....
