A.F.9

A.F.9 lets you edit files by replacing characters or any other bytes. The functionality is similar to a replace function in text editors, but there are a few differences:
- You can edit many files in one operation.
- You can replace several search phrases at a time.
- You can use characters, decimal values or hexadecimal values for your search and/or replace argument.
- You can edit really large files, since A.F.9 doesn't need to load the entire file into system memory.

- You can use characters, decimal values or hexadecimal values for your
search and/or replace argument.
- You can edit all sorts of files in any format.
- You can edit really large files without the need to load the entire
file into system memory.
- You can replace several search phrases at a time.
- You can save your Find & Replace arguments to a file for later
re-use.
- You can drag and drop a folder into the file list of A.F.9 to add all
files from that folder and its subfolders.
- You can adjust the folder drag and drop behavior so that only certain
files are added to the file list.

Abakt

Abakt is an easy to use backup-tool for Windows.
The files and directories to back up are selected using a combination of filters.
Filters
The masks used for filtering consist of wildcards, sets or literal characters.
Also you can disable compression for certain file types, and filter by attribute, size or modification date.
Backup
The backup file is a standard ZIP archive that can be updated or splitted into fixed-size parts.
It is possible to modify the compression level, and include the current date and/or time in the backup-filename.
Schedule
Scheduling backups is possible using Abakt's commandline options to feed the Windows Task Scheduler.

ABBREVW is a menu-oriented Windows application to view and maintain a list of abbrevations. The acronyms may be up to 7 characters long, the explanation can be any text up to 69 characters.
It shows one or more sorted abbrevation lists, allows you to insert, change or delete entries and search for duplicates. You can also merge two or more abbrevation lists into a single one. The program interface is quite intuitive.

ABC

ABC (Advanced Blocksorting Compressor) is a free data compression program based on the Burrows-Wheeler transformation. The source code is free for academic, research and educational use as depicted in the Abel Public License (APL).
The program is developed in OBJECT PASCAL (DELPHI), since the author prefers the structure of PASCAL over C/C++. The program is a command line program just like GZIP. It is not an archiver program but compresses each file file separatly. Itīs intention is to compress files and get average compression rates and compression/decompression times for a single file or a corpus.
The sorting buffer size is 5 MB.
Currently ABC supports only 32 bit WINDOWS systems: WINDOWS 95/98/NT/2000/XP
