Born To Run

Born To Run is a program very much like the Windows Run dialog. Since it's a standalone application, it can be run from anywhere on your desktop, with almost any key combination, unlike the Windows Run dialog, which can only be run from the Start menu. You can also only type the file name (without the extension) for 17 common extensions. You can set a list of your most used files, foldes, or Internet resources and to launch them automatically at specific time intervals.

BossHide
|

BossHide is a simple freeware open source utility that allows the user quickly hide any previously specified applications from the computer screen with a single keystroke. This way, the user can keep his privacy and stop being watched accidentally by others.
The user has to simply specify the filenames of the applications that will get hidden with the hotkey keystroke. Also, there is an option to hide all applications with the hotkey keystroke. Moreover, the BossHide windows tray icon can also be hidden and there is an option to start BossHide automatically when windows starts.
By right clicking on the BossHide windows tray icon the user can also add directly applications to the list of applications to get hidden with the hotkey keystroke. In addition, he can access the Options screen. You can also open the Options screen by clicking on the BossHide Configuration shortcut in the start menu programs.
The hotkey that hides or shows back again the applications is the key F12.
Requirements Windows XP,Vista,7,2003 etc. and .NET Framework 2.0 Runtime

BossKey

BossKey is a simple virtual desktop program. Create hot-keys to switch between the desktops and have one set of windows/applications on one and a different set of windows/applications on another and flip between them instantly with a single keypress. Up to 10 virtual desktops can be defined and windows can be designated always visible.

BossKey can now have up to 10 virtual desktops, each with it's own associated hotkey. It still has the ability to toggle between the current and last desktop with a separate hotkey.
Added the ability to specify any number of windows that should be excluded from hiding. You enter a partial text string and if that text is contained in the title bar of any window (case sensitive) it will not be hidden.
Fixed order of taskbar icons being reversed when switching desktops.

Wall Paper Changer.
National Geographic has very nice service Beautiful Photographic Wall Papers to be freely distributed for personal use and can be purchased as prints. It's really cool images so once a week (or two) I'd visit the site and download the image, BUT finnaly had a time to make a program doing it for me. So this way Wall Paper Changer born. Nice tray program checking every some time a NG web site to retrive new images and changes the wallpaper on your computer with those outstanding photos. As usual, nice UI, easy use, light width (about 160K RAM on Idle).

Bottom

This tool aids in sending windows being on top to bottom of desktop, this way revealing message boxes, windows and dialogs hiding underneath.
Some tasks do not appear in the taskbar, plus using taskbar rightclickmenu you've only got the option to minimize other windows, not sending them to bottom of desktop order, getting others in view. No option to send a window to background for the time being.
Despite the fact the frequency you will use this tool will not be very high, it can be useful sometimes, right ?
Bottom will give you these functions:
- Windows its cursor is dragged to will be moved to bottom of desktop order;
- Same goes for child/MDI windows within an application;
- Windows/dialogs with a build in "always on top" function can be send to bottom too;
- Additionally can set a window to "always on top";
Useful ? (As for software which has this function, there is a large number.)
- Japanese/English automatic change.

BRANDER XP

BRANDER XP will allow you to add any icon with any function in your xp start menu just like the professional computer builders would be able to do.
It also includes a restore mode that allows you to return your start menu back to it's original condition before using brander-xp. The restore mode maintains it's state untill you start xp again.
