Arora (Beta)

Arora is a simple cross platform web browser. Currently Arora is a very basic browser whose feature list includes things like "History" and "Bookmarks". It does not have support for netscape plugins, so no flash support until Qt 4.5. But it is small, less than 10,000 lines of code, very fast, lean, mean and loads of fun to hack on. Arora and QtWebKit is developed to be cross-platform using the Qt library. It was originally created as a demo for Qt to help test the QtWebKit component and find API issues and bugs before the release. An older version can still be found in Qt's source code in the demo/browser directory.
Arora works on Linux, OS X, Windows, FreeBSD, and embedded Linux using Qt Embedded.

Search the top search engines simultaneously for a better search. Get all of the best relevant results combined from search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, AltaVista and Lycos with this fast, easy-to-use and free desktop Internet meta search tool. Simply enter what you are looking for and Arrow Search will query all of the top search engines and return the results within seconds. Normally, you just need to enter one or more keywords that describes what you are looking for, however advanced searches are supported including phrase search, Boolean search (AND, OR and NOT) and keywords that must be included/excluded can be specified. Each result comprises of a title, description, URL and the search engine(s) that the URL appears in.
Each search engine uses its own algorithm to determine the results. So by searching all of them at once with Arrow Search, the variety of results is greatly increased. Duplicate results across search engines are automatically removed, making browsing the results easier.
A powerful, user-friendly web browser is built-in to Arrow Search. This allows for convenient viewing of the results and web pages because it saves having to have multiple external browser windows opened. You can also choose to view the web pages in a new window to the results and have the option of reusing the window to minimise the number of windows on your desktop.
Arrow Search automatically updates its Search Engine Database, which eliminates the need to manually download updates, and is a great time saver. The Search Engine Database is updated as search engines change to ensure that Arrow Search continues to function correctly.
You can change a variety of settings, including the maximum number of simultaneous connections, download attempts, timeout and the number of results to return. This allows you to tweak the settings to best suit your Internet connection and search needs.

ASK Toolbar Remover

Ask.com is a leading search engine on the Web. It was first created in 1996 as Ask Jeeves and renamed to Ask.com in 2005. Ask is a owned by IAC and is based in Oakland, California (USA). Ask also distributes the Ask toolbar to facilitate use of their search engine.
The Ask toolbar is often installed along with other software, which can be irritable. The toolbar is also known to increase web browser loading times, and memory use. Furthermore, the Ask toolbar installer often sets the computer's homepage to Ask.com. Removing the Ask toolbar will have no ill-effects on your web browsing.
We at AutoClean have created a program called the Ask Toolbar Remover that has been designed specifically to remove every last trace of the entries of the Ask Toolbar. Be aware that we do not in any way advise you to remove any Ask programs, but provide this removal tool to facilitate its removal if you decide to.
The Ask toolbar remover was created as part of a joint effort by Matthew McMullan and Fred de Vries to provide more complete removal tools for commonly used software.
The Ask toolbar remover works for the 4.0.x series, 4.1.x series, and OEM 1000 series ASK Toolbars.
It follows the following steps for each toolbar...
- Checks for the uninstaller
- Executes the Uninstaller with the silent switch set
- Removes the Install directory for that toolbar (as the uninstallers are not always complete)

When you login into a web site with user name and password, you sometimes have the option to store the password in your computer. If you choose to save the password, in the next time that we'll visit this site, the password field will be automatically filled with your password, but you won't be able to view it, because the password-box shows the password as sequence of asterisks (****).
This utility reveals the passwords stored behind the asterisks in the web pages of Internet Explorer 5.0 and above. You can use it for recovering a lost web site password, if it's stored on your computer.

This program will allow you to specify a search term, and the number of results pages to gather - then with a single click the program will compile the results and compare against previous searches to create a webpage "top sites" chart - including natty little "up", "down", "no change" and "new site" graphics.
The purpose is simply to show which webpages have climbed and fallen in the rankings. This information serves two roles:
If you're looking for information on a specific subject which isn't covered particulary well on the Internet - e.g. "Caterham Cars", you can specify a large search of say 25 pages and run the program periodically - you will then be able to easily see any new sites that are gaining attention and also websites that are suddenly climbing the rankings (typically with new content).
Webmasters may also find the results of interest, if they are within a period of promoting their website or checking up on competitors. PLEASE NOTE: do not abuse Google or this program by using this tool in conjunction with efforts to artificially inflate your ranking.
