AudioIndex
|
AudioIndex helps you to create easily and quickly list of audio albs (e.g. MP3 format). The templates enable you to make lists in any visual style and any file-format (e.g. TXT, HTM, XML, RTF, CSV, PS, etc.). The distribution contains a lot of ready-to-use templates. Also you can create your own templates using the Template Generator or manually in a text editor. Thanks to a special predictive algorithm the program can complete missing tag information on the alb. The result is a clear, „human“ list of albs. You can also install additional plugins to support more audio formats (e.g. WMA).
Main features
- quick and easy creation of nice lists of albs
- predictive auto-complete feature for incomplete tags (ID3)
- any textual file format of the list (eg. TXT, HTM, RTF, CSV, PS, XML.)
- fully customizable style and content of the list (using templates)
- plugins support to read any audio data format (e.g. WMA, OGG)
- full support for national characters, including sorting and filtering
- searching and filtering using both simple and advanced conditions
- easy-to-use template generator

AudioMove
|
|
AudioMove is a simple, easy to use GUI-based batch audio file copy-and-conversion program.
You just tell it what files to convert, what format to convert them to, and where to put the output files, and it does it. AudioMove has the following features:
- Converts from any format that libsndfile can read, to WAV or AIFF format
- Uses libsamplerate for high-quality sample rate conversion to various sample rates (11.025kHz-192kHz)
- Supports 8-bit, 16-bit, 24-bit, 32-bit, or floating-point output sample widths
- Specify files to convert using file requester or drag-and-drop
- Multithreaded design for faster processing on multiprocessor machines
- Pipelined dataflow for efficient resource utilization
- Recursively batch-convert entire directory trees in a single step
- Conversion-batch sizes may be arbitrarily large (e.g. thousands of files at a time)
- Can be controlled from the command line (useful for invoking batch conversions from scripts)
- No installation necessary -- just unzip and run (well, actually the Win32 version does come as a .msi file)
- Qt-based GUI means AudioMove is portable to most major OS's
- Open source (GPL); source code is available below
- SUSE 9.1, MacOS/X and Windows (built on XP) binaries available for your convenience.

AudioPaint
|
|
AudioPaint generates sounds from pictures. The program can read JPEG, GIF and BMP files and translates each pixel position and color into frequency, amplitude and pan information. AudioPaint can therefore be considered as a massive additive synthesis tool.

AudioToMidi
|
AudioToMidi converts a standard audio signal to a MIDI messages in real-time. The resulting MIDI messages can be played through a standard MIDI device, PC speaker or built-in sequencer. The audio signal spectrum is displayed in a special window in real-time. Note: PC speaker is disabled under Windows NT.
Features
- Input audio signal volume normalization.
- Input audio signal correction by built-in graphic equalizer.
- Audio signal frequency deviation compensation from standard note frequencies (guitar sound and the tuning fork discrepancy).
- Note sensor selectivity for the relation of one note to the adjacent note signals.
- Note volume filter; ignores low notes and noise.
- Output note filter; ignores the notes of pre-set loftiness in MIDI signal generation. The note interval and/or presumed key can also be set.
- Note duration filter; ignores accidental short notes when writing to the built-in sequencer.
- Graphic simulation of the first four harmonics of recognized instrument or voice.
- MIDI signal transposition. Resulting note loftiness shift at the integer number of semi-tones.
- MIDI instrument selection for signal generation.
- Volume selection for resulting note.
- MIDI channel selection during MIDI signal generation.
- Monophonic mode. Allows the lowest note selection from a number of simultaneous notes, thus providing the separation of the first instrument/voice harmonic, and errorless conversion of monophonic melodies.
- The general setting is automatically saved. Separate saving, opening and resetting of the equalizer, harmonic model and filter settings are provided.
- The conversion result is presented in real-time by highlighted piano keys. The piano keyboard window can also be used to generate the sound corresponding to the pressed key.
- Guitar tuning through signal spectrum representation.
- Built-in sequencer allows opening and playing MIDI (*.mid) and RIFF MIDI (*.rmi) files. New tracks can be also added to the open files.
- Ability to operate with an external software sequencer. Sonic Foundry Virtual MIDI Router (VMR) is recommended.
Requirements* Windows 95/98/2000/NT
