Sometimes you need to squeeze the file just a little more to fit on the CD. Or you want to know how much space you'll save when compressing a file. The Audioactive Bitrate Calculator lets you preview various combinations of bitrate, time length, and file size to do just that.
This cool tool computes a compressed file’s size, data rate, or running time from the other two characteristics, and is particularly helpful for determining the rate you need to fit a piece of audio into a given storage medium (for instance, a floppy disk or CD-ROM), or estimating hard disk requirements for high volume storage.

There are lots of free MP3 players out there. And a lot of them do some pretty whiz-bang stuff... none of which has anything to do with audio playback. Mini-browsers? Gimme a break!

You can combine the "AudioAnalyser" with the other application "Multisine", if your soundcard supports the full duplex mode (only very old soundcards don't). With this combination you have a full equiped audio suite for your measurements.

AudioBase is a database system. It is designed to store media information of audio or video storage media like MCs, CDs, MDs etc..
The system keeps the database in memory for speed reasons. The program is therefore designed to handle information for 5000 media on a consumer PC without any trouble. For larger data bases the system should have 128 Mbytes main memory.

Audioblast

Audioblast is a program to edit sounds. The program works with WAV-files, but can also open and save MP3 and WV.
The program is a little slow, but it can do really cool things with your sounds.
- Program to edit sounds.
- Has all the standard desktop-functions (cut, paste, delete, mix).
- Record your own sound and let it be mixed with the sound you've already opened!
- You can make the speed 'changing'. The sound will be played slightly slower or faster.
- Cool effects: soften, alien, satellite, creaking, shrink.
- You can use the Undo-function unlimited times.
- The figure can be displayed in several ways. The screenshot shows 'Space'.
- The two channels of a stereo sound are displayed seperated and you can edit them seperated.
- Convert your message to Morse.
- Of course you can also add echo, change the volume and reverse the sound.
