Atmosphere Lite
Atmosphere Lite allows you to turn your PC into a complete nature sound environment generator. No experience of sound editing is required and you can have your first soundscape running within seconds. Create your own relaxation CDs, sound effects for video or webpages, or just sit back and relax to the realtime natural sounds though your hifi, headphones or PC speakers. Atmosphere Lite comes with twelve nature sound presets including scenarios such as Storm, Downpour, Tropical Beach, Woodland, Autumn Winds, Campfire, Dawn Chorus, Coastal, Jungle and Night Forest.
You can easily configure your own soundscapes from the background and the random sounds supplied. It takes minutes to configure your soundscape. You can then either play this soundscape in realtime, save it to listen to at another time, or record to wav or mp3 using the inbuilt recording console, ready to be burnt to CD. There is even an alarm function and sleep timer incase you want to doze at your desk while a brook bubbles on its merry way, or the rain patters on a tin roof.

Audiality
Audiality is a scalable and portable audio engine for music and sound effects. It is intended to play equally well in studios and inside games, in order to serve as a flexible tool for content creation, and for use in the final product.
Audiality uses MIDI files in combination with scripting and modular synthesis, to minimize file sizes and maximise flexibility. It is highly portable, and supports both integer and floating point processing.
Scalability has been a major priority from the start. The current version will run on very low end Pentium systems, but can also produce high quality audio on more powerful hardware.
The main goal for the future is to extend the scalability of Audiality well into the range of serious home and professional studio use. The idea is to provide total control, a wide range of features, tools for fast and effective creation of original sounds, and excellent audio quality.
Requirements: SDL 1.2, reasonably new C compiler, an operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.), sound card with drivers, Autoconf 2.57 (Older might work), Automake 1.7.6 (Older might work), Libtool 1.5 (Older might work).

Audio Arpeg
Ok, I admit it, I'm a fan of arpeggiators. They give you a quick and easy way to do some rhythmic effects that otherwise would just be too tedious to do otherwise. Unfortunately, keyboard manufacturers stopped putting them into their keyboards around the mid-80's, and are only now re-discovering the joy and wonder that is arpeggiation... But what's this got to do with DirectX? I mean, you can't really use one of those arpeggiators with DirectX audio data, can you? Well no, you couldn't... Until now! AnalogX Audio Arpeg is very similar to its MIDI counterpart - you control whether or not a sound is being played, and create a rhythmic pattern with the mutes/unmutes. Unlike your normal MIDI arpeggiator, Audio Arpeg also allows you to control the volume level of each of the mute/unmute stages, which allows you to make much more subtle, and interesting patterns. Each channel can be delayed by up to 1 second and can have its tempo set independently; this opens up a whole new world in VERY cool stereo arpeggiation! And not only that, but Audio Arpeg is super-fast so it doesn't suck up those valuable CPU cycles! Of course, Audio Arpeg requires an application that supports DirectX Audio plugins (like the Paris or WaveLab), and works with either the realtime or non-realtime applications as well. Audio Arpeg supports mono or stereo sound streams, as well as 16bit and 32bit data types.
