The Plain Calendar Applet is a free Applet that you can use at your site. It supports any language, because it reads the names of the days and months from the parameter list. The colors are also read from the parameter list. It is common for European calendars to start on Monday, and a parameter can be set to adjust which day of the week the calendar starts on. You can adjust the size of the applet to suit your page. The jar file for the applet is just 7kb.
