Box-Port Design is a software package for Windows that I originally wrote for myself in July, 2000--when I began my first DIY speaker project (now the Reflector II). Since then I have revised it for public use. It is intended to be uncomplicated (even for the beginner), but genuinely helpful for anyone planning to build a subwoofer or loudspeaker. I found that the Box Planner tool is probably the best feature; it saved me hours of work when it came time to finalize dimensions for the cabinets.
Box-Port Design uses a simple, single interface to generate both optimal and predicted profiles for your driver/enclosure. Only basic T/S parameters are required to get started. Compare the numbers (or the plots), and see which factors are really the most important constraints to your enclosure.
Box-Port Design was written to be precise. Freely change any of the units of measurement without introducing rounding error and without altering the original data!
