Blackout Monitor is a system tray application that warns Southern California Edison customers of impending rolling blackouts. The software runs quietly in the system tray checking the power status at scheduled times. If a rolling blackout appears to be in the near future for your zone Blackout Monitor can play both an audible alert and a popup message. For quick reference the status bar icon contains a small graphical scale for quick reference to the current power status.Blackout Monitor is shareware at the moment with no option to register since California is no longer in a power crisis. However if in the future the software becomes necessary again, the current free registration number will be canceled and sales will continue as they did in the past.
