Hosts file installer, editor and toggler
Anti-ad-Hosts will help you with keeping spyware and ads from reaching your computer. The software ads a "hosts" file to your windows configuration that blocks known "bad site" cookies. This file contains many descriptions of banner ad servers and the like, the windows operating system will scan this file before displaying a web page or popup, and if it finds a match, the ads are blocked. This is not a replacement for your favorite popup stopper, but does prevent a lot of mischievous behavior caused by some internet browsing.
