ADO Table Editor
Editing arbitrary database tables via ActiveX Data Objects
ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) is now commonly available in the Windows operating system. ADO allows the processing of arbitrary databases in Access, Excel, Paradox, Oracle, SQL Server, and any similar system that supports the "OLE DB provider" concept or that provides an Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) interface.
ADOEDIT is a tool that connects to arbitrary databases using ADO. ADOEDIT can be used to browse, edit, and update database tables. ADOEDIT is a stand-alone application consisting of a single .EXE file; there are no additional support files to download and no installation process is required.
ADOEDIT assumes Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.1 or higher is present on your machine, along with any necessary OLE DB driver or ODBC driver for the database being used. MDAC is automatically installed with software such as Windows 2000 or Internet Explorer version 5 or later. If you're not sure your system is properly configured to support ADO, simply try ADOEDIT to see if a database connection can be established.
